Our Advocacy Program works at the policy level to push for reforms that make the entire Nigerian correctional system more humane, effective, and just:

■ Parliamentary advocacy for the full implementation of the Correctional Services Act 2019
■ Engagement with the Nigerian Correctional Service on facility conditions and training
■ Coalition-building with other justice reform NGOs
■ Research and publication of evidence-based reform recommendations
■ Media engagement and public education campaigns
■ Training workshops for law enforcement on human rights

We believe that the purpose of incarceration should be rehabilitation, not punishment alone. Every policy we help change protects thousands of people we will never individually reach.
